What are snapshots?

Like a Polaroid picture, a snapshot is a digital image of your portfolio (and its projects) or your projects (and their tasks.) It's...

• A moment in time, a record of what was, and a source for comparison.
• A way to see what's changed, what's been added, and what's been removed.

With many dozens of projects, and hundreds of tasks, keeping track of change is a difficult endeavor. Even the smallest change can and will have a domino effect.

What's in a snapshot?

In short, what do you do?

• We let you take snapshots of your portfolio/projects or projects/tasks at a specific point in time, for any or all slices of your company/org, and as often as you want. You can view them, download them, or analyze them anytime.
• We then let you compare similar snapshots to see what's changed, what's been added, modified, or removed. We do it precisely, instantaneously, and in detail.
• Additionally, our analytics tool lets you study your snapshot in detail, create graphs and charts, study statistics, and download sub-sets of your data and charts for reporting purposes.
• Finally, our AI models can help you with complex differentials, based on your specific prompts, given your in-depth understanding of your data and nuances of prompt engineering.

How do I join?

• To participate, your organization or company must be invited. Feel free to request an invitation.
• Invited guests can register by providing the required information, which includes:
  • Your email address (Same as what's used in your PM tool)
  • Password (Unique to this tool)
  • API Key (Your PM tool's API Access Key)
  • Company / Organization Key (Your PM tool's Co./Org. Key)
• Why did my registration fail?
• Your organization is not on the invite list.
• Your data does not match what's in the PM tool (e.g., email does not match API key, etc.)

I've registered...I'm in...Now What?

You're probably thinking: "Let me take snapshots of everything!"

Taking tons of SNAPs helps us but it doesn’t help you. So, STOP!!!

Here is what we suggest:

• Take a moment to reflect on what you should or need to track.
• On what projects or collection of projects do you want to conduct differentials? And, what's your time factor? Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly?
• Use the Company/Org and Project Pages to get a feel for the lay of the land. Then ...
• Revisit those same pages, drill down to what projects or collection you wish to track and SNAP away.
• Keep the name or re-name them to what makes sense. But remember, you should only compare similar SNAPs. So, don’t go crazy naming things and forget which two are similar but taken on different dates.
• Once you have a collection of SNAPs, you can...
1. Review the SNAPs in app.
2. Download the SNAPs in CSV format and review with other tools.
3. Use the free differentials tool to see what changed between any two similar SNAPs taken on different dates. Download the differentials and compare to the CSV downloaded in step 2.
4. Use the Deep Snaps capability to conduct complex differentials based on you specific prompts, utilizing our AI models.
5. Use the Analytics tool to study your data in detail. Create graphs and download sub-sets of your data.
6. Embed our differential and analytic outputs (e.g., graphs and data sets) in your reports, presentations, or decision support processes as you see fit.
